I’m a gym regular and sweat a ton, so color that looks good in bad locker room lighting is a must. Cool blondes always took on this weird greenish cast under the fluorescents. With 10G, my hair is now a pale golden blonde that actually looks better in warm, ugly lighting. In the mirror after a workout, it looks sunlit instead of grey. At home under normal lights, it just reads as very bright and shiny. I used 10 vol on my already-light hair, so damage was minimal. I definitely condition more, but overall this warm pale blonde fits my lifestyle way better than the icy shades did.

I’m naturally a dirty blonde and have always envied those bright, almost white gold blondes. 10G was my shot at that look without bleach. With 20 vol on my level 7/8 hair, it lifted me lighter than anything I’d used before-into real pale golden blonde territory. My gray (maybe 15%) is fully covered. The first few days, I honestly thought I’d gone too light; it felt like a lot. But now that I’ve adjusted and thrown in some soft waves, I really like it. My hair is definitely drier and tangles more easily, but a detangling spray and weekly deep conditioner have kept it in check. In photos, it looks like “rich girl hair,” which is not something I ever thought I’d say about myself.

As a stylist, I like having a go-to pale gold in my arsenal, and this 10G fits that role. On pre-lightened hair, it gives a radiant gold sheen. On naturally light bases, it can both lift and tone if used carefully. The pigment load is strong enough to counteract minor green or overly ashy casts. Condition is typical for high-level blondes, but the formula does seem slightly more cushioned than the cheapest professional range. Shine is very good.

I’ve been a cool blonde for years, but after moving to a sunnier climate, the ashy tones just weren’t doing my skin any favors. I used the 10G Very Pale Golden Blonde as a full-head recolor over my existing level 9/10. The transformation was subtle but powerful: my hair now catches the sun with a golden sheen instead of a silver one, and my face looks less sallow. The shade deposited evenly and, to my surprise, did not darken my overall level much at all. It simply added a layer of gold. My brittle ends did not get worse. Shine is the big benefit; it’s like the color filled in the chips on the hair cuticle. It’s exactly the kind of warmth I wanted.

I bought this 10G Very Pale Golden Blonde to brighten up my winter-blah hair and cover the stubborn gray along my part. I’m naturally a medium ash blonde (level 7-ish) with 40% gray and usually stay in the 8-9 range because level 10s can look harsh. This came out as a really pretty, soft sunflower blonde-light, but not that icy or white tone that makes me look washed out. Application was easy; the cream clung to the roots nicely and didn’t run into my eyes. The smell is definitely “hair color,” but not as eye-watering as some ammoniated formulas. Gray coverage was genuinely full-every white hair I checked near the temples had turned a pale gold and blended right in. I was nervous about brass, but the gold here leans warm and luminous, not orange or coppery. The shine is the main thing I noticed; my hair caught the light in a way it hasn’t in years, especially at the crown where I usually look flat. There is some dryness at the ends, which I expected at this light level, but a mask and leave-in took care of most of that. If you hate cool or ashy blondes and want a bright but flattering gold, this is lovely.
