Do
- Wash with sulfate-free, alcohol-free products, no more than 2 to 3 times a week.
- Brush with a loop or soft-bristle brush, holding the hair above the attachment point.
- Keep conditioner and masks on the mid-lengths and ends only.
- Dry the attachment points fully before sleeping or tying the hair up.
- Always use heat protectant and keep hot tools below 180 C / 356 F.
Avoid
- Brushing from the roots down instead of working upward from the ends.
- Applying conditioner, oils or masks directly on the attachment points.
- Sleeping on loose hair. Braid it or tie it in a soft, low ponytail.
- Chlorine and salt water without a protective leave-in barrier.
