The stability of the suspension in this pigment bottle is impressive—I don’t have to spend two full minutes shaking it vigorously before every single drop I dispense. Some organic pigments separate into liquid and heavy sediment layers very quickly, leading to inconsistent color drops if you don’t use an electric ink mixer. This formula stays remarkably uniform inside the bottle, ensuring that the pigment-to-fluid ratio remains identical from the first drop to the very last. This uniformity gives me complete confidence that the color I mix on my tray today will match the exact color I use for the client’s touch-up session six weeks later.

I love how clean my workspace stays when using this

I love how clean my workspace stays when using this pigment because it doesn’t dry into a hard, flaky crust around the rim of the bottle during storage. Many other ink brands I’ve used end up accumulating dried crusty bits around the cap that eventually fall back into the fresh pigment cup, contaminating the mixture. This formula remains liquid and smooth inside the bottle, ensuring that every drop dispensed onto my tray is fresh, sterile, and free of dried particles. It saves me time during prep and ensures that my needle cartridges never get clogged by dried ink debris mid-procedure. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into both the chemical formulation and the physical packaging of this product line.

I recently used this pigment during a live demonstration at a permanent makeup conference, showing advanced powder brow gradient techniques to a room full of artists. When you are performing live under bright stage lights and on camera, you need a pigment that implants predictably and doesn’t dry out quickly in the needle cartridge. This Ash Brown flowed out of my machine with incredible consistency, leaving tiny, distinct pixels on the practice skin and on the live model. The audience was able to see the color build up pass by pass from a 10% soft front to an 80% saturated tail without any blotchiness. The model sent me her healed photos a month later, and the soft, dusty ash gradient was preserved flawlessly with zero patchiness across the entire brow body.
